Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are third molars that appear in the back of mouth usually in your late teens to mid-twenties. Often wisdom teeth can erupt through and take their position within the dental arch and not cause any problems or some people may never have any wisdom teeth at all. However, there are times when your jaw may not be big enough to accommodate your wisdom teeth and they can get stuck or impacted and cause serious problems such as infection and pain.

At Inline Smiles, we take regular x-ray’s to identify if your wisdom teeth may need removal. We may recommend removal in order to avoid future problems such as damage to the jaw and adjacent teeth and spreading infections. We work very closely with a group of local surgeons to refer you to if needed.
