Root Canal: The Tooth-Saving Treatment
When the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or exposed, root canal treatment clears the infection, ends the ache. And saves the tooth from extraction. That's our favourite kind of dentistry: the kind that keeps what's yours.
What to Expect
Settle the Pain
Diagnosis, digital imaging and relief as our first priority.
Clean & Seal
The infected nerve space is gently cleaned, disinfected and sealed over one to two calm, fully anaesthetised visits.
Protect the Tooth
A root-treated tooth usually needs a crown or strong restoration so it can chew confidently for years to come.
Common Questions
Does root canal treatment hurt?
It's done under profound local anaesthetic. Most people compare it to a long filling. It relieves toothache rather than causing it; mild tenderness afterwards settles within days.
Wouldn't extraction be easier?
Cheaper today, costlier forever: gaps cause drifting, bite changes and eventual replacement costs. We save teeth wherever it's sensible. And tell you plainly when it isn't.
